Planning the fluffier content and giving back with a new movement!

The SocialJems have had a pretty busy time, we’re almost at full capacity and it won’t be long until we have to put a pause on taking on new clients. As we say here, “we like money, but not when it costs us our mental health.” And we don’t believe in burning out the team either.

But you don’t want to hear about that…

You want to hear about some marketing tips (or at least, we guess that’s why you subscribed to our newsletter, right?)

So, are you thinking about the psychology behind your content and marketing strategy for November and December? People are rearing up for the holidays, they might be mentally checked out, so make it easy for them to engage with your content.

Afterall, you’re not writing to robots. We’re humans, think about the psychology of your content.

Making it fluffy for the Holidays

November and December are when people start transforming into real-life elves, busy wrapping gifts and hanging mistletoe. So, it's crucial to adjust your social media strategy accordingly.

Instead of bombarding your audience with overly complicated content, consider keeping it light and fluffy.

Think of it as a marshmallow in your hot cocoa—a little sweet, a lot cozy, and oh-so-easy to engage with. 🍫☕

Here’s a tip for you:

LinkedIn polls are the hot cocoa of social media engagement. They're quick, fun, and perfect for grabbing your audience's attention. Come December, a lot of people are mentally checked out, which is why polls are a great way to engage them without hurting their brain!

So, keep it simple, keep it engaging, and make it a delightful scroll for your audience!

Planning your 2024 marketing strategy

Now, while you're busy untangling fairy lights and keeping your business afloat, it's also a great time to think about your marketing strategy for the shiny new year, 2024!

What do you want to achieve and what are you doing to make it happen?

Be Kind, Give Time

What is Be Kind Give Time?

Setting up a business, taking the first step in our career is hard, and help and guidance is expensive, an expense many starting out on their journey cannot afford.

Something many of us can relate to. Which is why we are excited to be a part of this movement. Created by Paul Starbuck, to give back and to show each and every person on LinkedIn the power of building a network of strong, confident amazingly talented individuals.

Because we all know it’s not what you know, it’s who you know that matters.

And with it us coming into the Christmas, it gives us the perfect opportunity to launch a fun, and supportive campaign simply centred around being kind.

How can you get involved?

All you need to do is pledge an hour of your time to share your expertise to help someone else.

Get in touch with Paul if you would like to get involved!

Now for the team updates…

 The Jem-date

It’s the first half term where Jem won’t be spending it with her son. Charlie is on a holiday in Majorca with his father, having a great time but it has thrown Jem! She is used to juggling the school holidays and running a business, but this time there is no juggling…but she is lost with what to do, without Charlie around.

Where the F is my kid! I don’t like this” – A quote from Jem.

So, she’s done what she does best…focused on something to distract herself.

So, when she’s not writing content or calling clients, she’s decorating her house AGAIN!

Her partner Josh is still struggling with his knee, but at least he is now on the waiting list for surgery – we’re thinking of you Josh!

The morgenmuffel

Sarah faced her first battle with Covid, which left her out of the game for a week. But she doesn’t want to talk about that, she wants to talk about something fun she did!

She recently went to London to see a Finnish rap artist named Käärijä, and in true Sarah-style, adopted a person who was attending the concert all alone and had travelled from Paris to be there.

Also, Happy Birthday Sarah!

That’s a wrap!
