What’s new in the world of LinkedIn?

You might have already heard the news that LinkedIn will now be testing out short-form videos on the platform. But whether it will stick around is a different question. Just like the birth and exit of LinkedIn stories, they’ll be testing out these videos to see if they’re worth keeping around or not. 

What do you think to the short-form videos? 

Instagram 

A new feature for carousel posts is coming to LinkedIn! Top of FormNow, you can tag specific images or videos with numbers in your comments. 

Simply add "@3" before your message to comment on the third picture, for example. Your comment will then show up next to a thumbnail of that precise image. It's a smart move to boost engagement and clear up any confusion.

💎 SOCIALJEMS

March was mental. 

Which we’re grateful for because mental means we’re busy! We’ve had new clients teaming up with us, and old clients asking for more services. It’s great news, but we won’t hide the fact it’s been mental. Afterall, we’re a small team (for now), but speaking of the team, let’s see what Jem and Sarah have been up to.

JEM!

Jem has been on fire! (Not literally of course). But she’s been smashing sales calls and talking to potential clients, landed new clients, and of course always making time to talk to our current clients -whether it’s work related, or they just want a chat. 

She’s getting better at actually putting down the laptop and not working 7 days a week. Spending time with her partner Josh and her awesome son Charlie. 

You can’t live to work. You work to live.

SARAH! 

Sarah took some time off from posting on LinkedIn and was more of a hide-behind-the-laptop for a few weeks. 

When she wasn’t creating content for clients, she was out seeing friends and family. Joe’s uncle and aunt (let’s face it they are her aunt and uncle too) came up to visit and wanted to meet some of her friends. 

Oh, and Sarah is a bit gutted, because she’s only a month ahead on her clients, she normally likes to be at least two months ahead. 

💎 THERE’S MORE!

Our team is growing. We can’t say more on this yet, but we will have a new person joining the team to create content, and we’re excited to have them onboard! 

Thought we were finished? Not quite…

We also have a team member who has been working behind the scenes with us for a while, we’ve not introduced them yet and whilst they might work in the background we want to put them in the foreground finally, especially with how much they do for us. But we’ll be sharing more about them soon!

So, there you have it. Two more people in the SocialJems club! 

Jem and Sarah will be working with them to offer support and training, and of course to make sure they feel supported and enjoy working here.
